The Massage Training Clinic (Student Clinic) is offered at our Grafton and Green Bay location, as a part of our professional massage therapy program. 

Our Student Training Clinics are an educational requirement for our students, which gives them the state-required practical experience they need before graduation. It also is a great way for the public to receive a massage at a discounted rate. 

Students are trained in relaxation Swedish massage. They also learn oncology massage, lymphatic massage, reflexology, cranial-sacral massage, craniology, sports massage, chair massage and in-depth techniques in neuromuscular therapy. Specific modality offering depends on how far along the students are in the program. 

Students are not allowed to begin clinic until reaching or exceeding program benchmarks and grades.

What Is A Student Clinic?

Blue Sky School of Professional Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork is a massage therapy school that has been graduating massage students since 1985.

The Student Massage Clinic is a teaching facility. Massages are performed by male and female students for educational purposes. They are students who have not graduated yet, but who have successfully completed the Blue Sky requirements to enter into student clinic. 

The purpose of the massage is for stress reduction, relief from muscular tension or spasm, or for increasing circulation. The student massage therapist does not diagnose illness, disease, or any other physical or mental disorder. As such, the student massage therapist does not prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals. This massage session is not a substitute for medical examinations and/or diagnosis.

It is recommended that the client see a physician for any physical ailments that they may have. The student massage therapist needs to be aware of existing physical conditions; therefore, the client must state all of their known medical conditions and will take it upon themselves to keep the student massage therapist updated on their physical health. 

There is no illicit or sexually suggestive behavior, remarks, or advances tolerated. It will result in the immediate termination of the session and liable for payment of the scheduled appointment.

Since it is a teaching facility, the client authorizes the following parties to have access to their information: the student massage therapist, clinic supervisors, Blue Sky’s administrative personnel, Wisconsin Educational Approval Program, and other accreditation agencies as requested by Blue Sky.

    The schedule at each of our two student training clinics changes based on students' schedules. 


    These appointments can book up fast, so call early. 


    We are a training facility, so the schedule is subject to change with each class or every couple of months.

  • DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS FOR STUDENT CLINICS?

    Yes, we offer plastic gift cards that can be purchased onsite or over the phone. They are refillable, never expire and are transferable to anyone you wish. You chose the dollar amount you wish to place on the card.

  • WHEN & HOW DO I USE MY GIFT CARD?

    Call for a massage appointment. We issue a schedule of appointments a month or two at a time. 


    Regarding appointment availability, please keep in mind, that the student training clinic is a teaching facility working with students’ availability. At times, this can cause delays in publishing the schedule or finding an open time/day that is ideal for you. We try our very best to meet your needs. However, we do ask that you be flexible with your choices.

  • WHAT DO I WEAR?

    In light of Covid 19, Facemasks are required during the massage unless there is a medical condition that prevents wearing it. 


     As far as clothing during the massage, you can wear what you are comfortable with. Typically there is partial disrobing; however, the area not being worked on will be covered with a sheet. i.e. working on the back – the back would be exposed, however, the rest of the client is covered with a sheet. It is also perfectly acceptable for the client to wear shorts, a tank top, etc, whatever your comfort level is.

  • WHEN DO I ARRIVE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

    If it is your first time at Blue Sky, you should arrive at least 10 – 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork.

    Refer a NEW client to Blue Sky Green Bay student training clinic, they provide your name as the referral at time of booking, you and the NEW client get $5 off a massage once the client has completed their first massage.


    (New client must be New to Blue Sky Clinic, must use $5 off at time of 1st visit. New client must indicate the full name of the current client that referred them at time of booking or at time of first massage. We cannot go back and award after the New client has received their massage. New client must complete massage (can’t just book) in order for $5 discount to be awarded and/or redeemed by either. $5 discount is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or tip, program may be changed or canceled, open to Alumni as well as public, not available to Staff, Green Bay clinic only)
