About Blue Sky School of Professional Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork

Blue Sky was born out of a desire to create a sustainable future for our world. Our primary focus is on facilitating physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. Blue Sky’s holistic approach to massage integrates wellness and nutritional training throughout the program. We emphasize health-care and self-care techniques, styles, and philosophies to help each person and their family to develop optimal health within their own boundaries. Through a comprehensive course of study, Blue Sky strives to:
  • Graduate massage therapists who really care about people, talented therapists with the perspective to practice the healing art of massage with optimal results for their clients, while receiving a true sense of fulfillment.
  • Provide a comprehensive education and experience in traditional therapeutic bodywork techniques coupled with training in a wide range of additional treatment modalities.
  • Reach out and touch the community through educational opportunities and massage services.

Our History & Facilities

Blue Sky was founded by Blue Sky Educational Foundation in 1985. Achieve Inc., d.b.a. Blue Sky School of Professional Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork took over ownership of the school from the Foundation in October 2015.

Blue Sky’s main school location is in Grafton, WI with a branch location in Green Bay, WI. Each of these two locations house two locations within each building. 

In the Fall of 2022, Blue Sky was thrilled to be able to offer an Aesthetics School in Grafton. Early 2023 we began our Aesthetics School at our Green Bay location.

Blue Sky School of Professional Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork is owned and operated with the care and compassion of a small business with the history, experience and dedication of a long-standing institution.

Approvals: 
Blue Sky is also approved by the Department of Safety & Professional Services Wisconsin Educational Approval Program and Approved for veterans’ education benefits (GI Bill) by the Wisconsin State Approving Agency for those that qualify and we are an NCBTMB Assigned School and AMTA School Member. 

We voluntarily withdrew from being nationally institutionally accredited and voluntarily withdrew from offering Federal Financial Aid. The amount of paperwork, additional costs and overall lack of benefit to the student were the driving forces behind that decision. 

To clarify: In the State of Wisconsin, for a student to be able to qualify to sit for the State and National exams, a school does not need to be nationally accredited, they need to be approved by the Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services Educational Approval Program (WEAP). 

Blue Sky IS approved by WEAP. This distinction between accredited and being approved is often misunderstood in the State of WI, do not hesitate to ask questions. 

If you plan to leave the State of WI, other states' requirements differ, some drastically. It is vital to check those states prior to enrolling. We recommend taking a look at AMBP https://www.abmp.com/practitioners/state-requirements.

Also in the State of Wisconsin, massage students must pass their State and National exams as a prerequisite of graduation. 

Seminars and Classes

Blue Sky is an approved NCBTMB CE Provider for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers. We are pleased to offer CE seminars, classes along with personal educational and enrichment classes and seminars to the public.

Clinic

Blue Sky offers a student training clinic where students provide massages on the public for a discounted rate. 

At our main location in Grafton, we also offer a professional clinic.
