Pow­er of Com­mu­ni­ca­tion & Pres­ence – devel­op­ing a heal­ing atten­tion

Descrip­tion: Every­one has a com­pelling need for recog­ni­tion of being. Pay­ing atten­tion to anoth­er is a con­sid­er­a­tion of a basic human need. Clients have three main requests they rarely voice in the ses­sion room; do you see me, do you hear me, and do you authen­ti­cal­ly care? Today we will explore ways of devel­op­ing a heal­ing atten­tion with­in the ther­a­peu­tic rela­tion­ship, while at the same time car­ing for our­selves.

Top­ics explored; Sacred silence, the buck­et, three covenants, pow­er of lis­ten­ing, reflect­ing and respond­ing. This class is expe­ri­en­tial in nature.
