Precision Muscular Mobilization Extremities (De Pere 9/25 - 9/26/2010) Print E-mail

PMM is the culmination of the most specific and effective methods of stretching available, bridging the focus of hands on techniques to practitioner assisted movements that are a welcome addition to any form of bodywork. PMM is a system, that at first glance seems as though it is mere simple stretching, however after the finer points of this wildly effective form of therapy are fully appreciated, it is much more intricate and thoughtful than simply stretching. During these fantastic seminars you will learn multiple specific mobilization procedures for individual muscles, classical muscle tests, nerve entrapments, trigger point involvement, non-goniometric muscle length tests, after treatment movements, as well as understanding when these techniques are appropriate to use.  As of 2010 we are now also proudly offering and incorporating vapocoolant (spray and stretch) techniques within the class; as participants will be given bottles of this valuable product to use during the course of the seminar.  Come join us for this amazing seminar!

Participants in PMM will:

  1. Learn how and when to apply stretching techniques in a therapeutic setting.
  2. Learn quick and easy functional tests to determine exactly what muscles to stretch specific to the individual patient.
  3. Learn how to enhance the benefits of stretching.
  4. Learn how to enhance the effectiveness of other therapies utilizing PMM procedures.
  5. Learn when it is not appropriate to apply stretching and what measures can still be utilized to help relieve patient’s pain.
  6. Learn how to incorporate PMM techniques with any type of manual therapy.

The target audience for PMM seminars extends to those who do general Swedish massage.   PMM is extremely effective when integrated into massage for relaxation.  Participants who come from other modalities will find PMM easy to incorporate into just about any massage.  In addition, by nature, PMM is a great anatomy and functional anatomy review.

Prerequisite:  Bodyworker or Healthcare Professional (PNMT Upper & Lower recommended but not required)
